DAVID DE GEA is still waiting on a contract offer from Manchester United, despite a string of stand-out performances.

The Spaniard's current deal expires in 18 months time, and there are still some lingering worries that the 27-year-old might be tempted to jump ship despite insisting recently that he is very happy at the club.

That sensational new contract is created to keep Spain's stopper out of the clutches of long-time suitors Real Madrid.

This would make United's crown jewel in defense the best paid goalkeeper in the history of the sport, and the joint-second best paid player in the Premier League, alongside Arsenal's Mesut Ozil. De Gea has enjoyed yet another fantastic season between the sticks at Old Trafford, helping the team to 15 clean sheets - he has also made 93. His influence can be quite characterised by his incredible save that he pulled against Crystal Palace on Monday - an nearly inevitable goal, which was one of the main reasons United won the game 3-2.

Jurassic World Alive brings dinosaurs to life in Pokemon Go-like game
The game is now looking for pre-registrations, promising an in-game "incubator" as a reward; presumably to develop dinosaurs. While you might write it off as just another mobile game rip-off, there are some pretty tempting differences.

With high-earners Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marouane Fellaini expected to be off the wage bill next season, that would help Jose Mourinho pay for De Gea's huge rise.

Real Madrid's defence has been woeful this season and Keylor Navas has been found out largely because of his inability to pull off consistently good performances.

Nevertheless, the Galacticos have kept their resolve strong, and are still pursuing De Gea even now, according to several reports.

Florentino Perez has been obsessing about signing a new goalkeeper, with Thibaut Courtois also being targeted.
