Students at Harvard-Westlake High in Studio City received an alert before school began Friday stating the school was closed. "Out of abundance of caution, and because the safety of our students, faculty, and staff is our top priority, we made the decision to close school today".

Martin has said in the past he was subjected to bullying in high school and by teammates in the National Football League, and he posted an image of a shotgun and shotgun shells on his personal Instagram account on Thursday, the New York Post reported, adding that the account was verified.

"Last evening, we learned of an Internet post that mentions Harvard-Westlake by name", Harvard-Westlake said in a statement.

Martin was in southern California when he was detained pending further investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department's Major Crimes Division.

Martin's disturbing Instagram post comes a week after 17 people were killed in a mass shooting at Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., just 33 miles from the home of the Miami Dolphins.

-The message references Harvard Westlake High School and shows a shotgun with multiple rounds of ammunition lying on a surface. The caption read, "When you're a bully victim & a coward, your options are suicide, or revenge" followed by the school's hashtag.

LAPD officials declined to name the person who had been detained, but said that person is believed responsible for the post.

Mueller Files New Fraud Charges Against Paul Manafort
He also told the agents that he did not know why an email between him and Person A was not produced to Mueller's office. Russian Federation has denied meddling in the campaign and Trump has denied any collusion took place.

The alumnus was allegedly bullied at the school and during his time playing football for the Miami Dolphins.

Martin is reportedly being held at a mental health facility after the frightening apparent threat. "I don't know what his thoughts are and I don't really care, honestly".

Martin was a second round draft pick and landed at the Dolphins from Stanford University in 2012. According to Sports Illustrated, a NFL-commissioned investigation led by lawyer Ted Wells and his firm revealed a "pattern of harassment" by three Miami Dolphins - Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey - directed at Martin, in addition to another young lineman and an assistant trainer on the team.

The former lineman hasn't played since 2015. Martin is black and Incognito is white.

Jonathan Martin, 28, who spent two years at the Miami Dolphins, was taken into custody in Los Angeles but was not arrested.

Extra patrols will be in place around the Harvard-Westlake campuses Friday, Kuey said.
