A Change.org petition is calling on Marvel Studios and The Walt Disney Company to invest 25 percent of the profits for the hot new film "Black Panther" into the black community.
Actors Sterling K. Brown, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya, Lupita Nyong'o, Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Andy Serkis, and Forest Whitaker; writer/director Ryan Coogler;Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige; producers Louis D'Esposito and Victoria Alonso, and executive producer Nate Moore at the Los Angeles World Premiere of Marvel Studios' BLACK PANTHER at Dolby Theatre on January 29, 2018 in Hollywood, California. "You realize there's contractual things".
"I've always loved Kraven the Hunter in nearly every iteration", he continued. "There was a Christopher Priest run that was pretty heavy, there's a big scene where Panther's fighting Kraven". Best-known as a Spider-Man villain, Kraven's MO is to go after superheroes with animal names and mount their heads on his wall.
The movie hits theaters February 16, but Walmart is offering Houston fans a first look at the new Marvel comic movie at a showing on February 13.
Over the years, there have been many dream castings for Kraven, while stars like Jeffrey Dean Morgan or Javier Barden would be ideal additions to the MCU as the muscular madman. As for Kraven, he could just as easily hold his own like the upcoming Venom or Silver & Black.
In July 2017 it was reported that Sony, who control the Spider-Man film rights, were developing a film featuring Kraven. Here's hoping that Sony has that idea firmly in its crosshairs for the near future.
"The trouble with the highly anticipated Black Panther is that it doesn't know what it wants to be: super hero extravaganza, activist action flick, James Bond wannabe or Coming to America", the review states in part.
