A winter storm warning remains in effect until Thursday morning, with 8 to 12 inches expected in the Glens Falls region.
However, the heavier snow totals will be south with a little less snow to the north.
The combination of snow and ice will cause tough travel conditions in major cities like Boston and NY on Wednesday because of slippery roads, with snowy conditions expected to change into rain by late Wednesday evening in Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington, D.C.
