Adam Lallana was involved in a shocking incident which saw him sent off for Liverpool

One of the four first-team players for the Reds, Lallana has had a frustrating season after missing the first four months of the campaign.

However, midway through the second half, Lallana was clattered Tottenham's George Marsh and the England worldwide didn't take too kindly to the challenge.

Marsh appeared to innocuously catch Lallana during a 50/50 aeriel battle and the midfielder reacted wildly by grappling the teenager and shoving him to the ground.

Of course there's still every chance that the Germany will not use the England global in the upcoming games but should he decide to rest someone then he'll know Lallana doesn't have under 23 commitments to think about.

Red cards for violent conduct carry a minimum three-week ban but can be extended in extreme cases, although the suspension will not count for first-team matches.

He raced towards the 19-year-old before grabbing him around the neck from behind.

He was then shown a straight red card.

That would mean Lallana would be available for selection for Jurgen Klopp over Liverpool's next three Premier League games, which are against Southampton, West Ham and Newcastle.

Youngster Ben Woodburn, who came close to leave on loan in January, is also likely to feature against Spurs.
