West Ham's Javier Hernandez celebrates after scoring the equaliser in the 1-1 draw with Bournemouth

West Ham United and Bournemouth fought out a lively 1-1 draw as substitute Javier Hernandez cancelled out Ryan Fraser's opener for the visitors at the London Stadium yesterday.

It took 71 minutes for the first goal to arrive, through Ryan Fraser, but a lack of concentration saw Bournemouth concede nearly immediately, as second-half substitute Javier Hernandez stole in for a point. Manu is the problem and we hope it isn't serious.

"I think he [Lanzini] was talked a lot about when I came and I have to be honest, I didn't see that in the first half dozen games or so", said Moyes.

"Actually, if there's one place we are actually quite big is the centre forwards, we have four or five but suddenly we've got injuries to some of them and because of that then we're really short".

West Ham United are planning a move for Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz with boss David Moyes due to fly out to watch him in action against Barcelona on Sunday, sources have told ESPN FC.

Bournemouth goalkeeper Asmir Begovic denied Marko Arnautovic from point-blank range after 14 minutes and Bournemouth took the lead against the run of play through Ryan Fraser after 71 minutes.

It could never hit the excitement levels of Boxing Day's controversial six-goal thriller on the south coast but West Ham and Bournemouth certainly served up a dramatic interlude in another, rather less eventful, stalemate in east London.

"I thought we played some of our best football this season, especially in the first half, but Bournemouth got strong in the second part of both halves, so in the end perhaps the draw was the right result".

"In the end, I wasn't unhappy with a point, but I have to say we missed some big chances which we could have got ourselves out of sight", Moyes added.
