Google is Merging Android Pay and Google Wallet into a Single Service

Google Pay

Google is bringing its different payment services under a single umbrella, called Google Pay.

With this new system, your payment information will be saved in your Google account and will then be available to use everywhere you use Google products. It also mentioned that users will see the rebranding move across payments with friends, online retailers and stores.

Google has also confirmed that several third-party apps including Airbnb, Dice, Fandango, HungryHouse, and Instacart already support Google Pay. He said the products being brought together include Android Pay (Google's mobile payments and loyalty platform) and Google Wallet (its peer-to-peer payments app). This is because unlike in the West, India doesn't have to deal with "n" number of payments apps ala Google.

Google has announced it's creating a more unified way of paying for things online and in-store. Android Pay was supposed to launch here at some point of time but then Google made a decision to launch a market-specific app called Tez here instead. You also launched an India specific Payment app Google Tez. This will necessitate them to remain separate. Over the past couple of years this payment service reached the UK, Singapore, Hong Kong, Poland, Russia and Canada among many other countries.

Nvidia launches Xavier Drive at CES 2018
This is just one of the many partnerships that NVIDIA has inked to further its position in the self-driving technology arena. But the company operated largely in secret until last week when it announced partnerships with Volkswagen Group and Hyundai.

Google is simplifying the way people make mobile payments using one of its many services. Unsurprisingly this has led to confusion and fragmentation. Google Checkout was Google's PayPal competitor.

Android Pay was primarily created to allow people to make simple and secure payments from their mobile phones.

Google has been accused of pulling a Microsoft, by endlessly rebrand and rename products that are successful, but not market-leading, in an effort to become the market leader, but end up fragmenting their own brands further by alienating existing loyal users and confusing late-adopters and casual observers who don't follow the branding news.

The P2P money sending platform Google Wallet's all of the features are implemented in the Google Pay system, at the same time with all capabilities of Android Pay.
