The rebuilding of the Cleveland Browns front office rolled along Wednesday as the team hired Eliot Wolf as assistant general manager. The same can also be said for the Browns' 2 current vice presidents of player personnel Andrew Berry and Ken Kovash.
Gutekunst offered Wolf a spot in his department to remain with the Packersas his "right-hand man". Dorsey spent 21 years in Green Bay's front office, while new vice president in the personnel department, Alonzo Highsmith, also spent time in Green Bay. A total of 13 years as a scout for the East Coast region (1999-2000) and then the Southeast region (2001-11) was followed by his promotion to director of player personnel. He's someone I've looked up to and has always been a mentor to me. Some of my fondest memories in football were playing the Browns in the playoffs one year (while with the Oilers) and the fans throwing dog bones at us so we had to turn around and play that series at the opposite end zone. The Browns finished the regular season without a victory and are now 1-31 in the last two seasons under head coach Hue Jackson. Highsmith was there that entire 19-year run. The former Chiefs general manager (2013-June 2017) has also added three former members of the front office in Kansas City to the Browns' personnel department. Highsmith has reportedly joined the Browns front office, but it has not been made official by the team.
