Poop-Smearing Man Causes In-Flight Bathroom Crisis

Officials grounded the Boeing 777 overnight to perform maintenance and clean up the plane, KTVA reports.

Ted Stevens International Airport Police said that United Airlines flight 895 from Chicago to Hong Kong had to stop in Anchorage after a passenger started "passenger smearing feces everywhere". The flyer was reportedly cooperative with the flight crew and remained seated after his bathroom escapades were stopped. According to airport officials, the man smeared excrement inside the plane and tried to cram his shirt into one of the toilets of the plane.

The man, a 22-year-old Vietnamese passport holder with U.S. residency, was escorted off the plane in handcuffs and met by law enforcement in the terminal, Gamache said.

The passenger responsible for the mess, however, co-operated with the airline crew later and stayed in his seat till he was escorted off the plane by authorities.
