CLEVELAND Police search west side home on allegations of child buried in yard

Rodriguez is expected to be charged with murder, and police took the four children who lived with her.

The mother of a young disabled boy is behind bars after authorities found a deceased young child's body buried in the backyard of an OH home.

According to police, Rodriguez told officers that Jordan has special needs and is unable to speak.

The boy's mother, Larissa Maria Rodriguez has reportedly been taken into custody and will be charged with murder and felonious assault on Thursday.

"Our investigators along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Medical Examiner's Office while digging in this backyard recovered what appears to be human remains; the medical examiner will be taking those remains to their office for further examination", said Sgt. Jennifer Ciaccia.

Police first went to the house on Monday, which they found in "deplorable and unsanitary condition", according to a report Cuyahoga County Division of Children and Family Services obtained by WOIO. The woman, however, said she did not know the phone number or address of the father or the aunt. She said the child left with his aunt on December 2 for Houston, yet she couldn't provide contact information for the aunt or for the boy's biological father.

A body was found in the backyard Tuesday.

Child welfare workers said they have provided parenting education, mental health services and more.

A medical examiner is working to identify the cause of death of a young child whose remains were found in the yard of a Cleveland home after two days of searching for a possible missing child.

That caller from Pakistan said Rodriguez assured her other kids that Jordan was in Texas.

One of the children was seen eating a sandwich that contained cockroaches, the county affidavit said.

Officials removed four children from the home Monday night, and the children were placed in emergency custody in foster care. Further, a friend of the family said she spotted the little boy in a closet and "nearly dead" a few months back. "He needed help. And all they did was f--g beat on him for no reason".

Rodriguez's boyfriend, Chris, has been in jail since October on unrelated charges.

Children and Family Services had intervened with Larissa's custody of children as early as 1998, according to court records.
