Red Marlow tackles a country fishing song with Blake Shelton on “The Voice”
Meanwhile, a flustered Shelton tried to explain to her dad that he was the country music coach on the Voice.
Kohanski is only the third singer in "The Voice" history to hit No. 1 on the iTunes singles chart three times in one season for her performances of her original song "Wish I Didn't Love You", "I Want to Know What Love Is" by Foreigner and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler. The Nashville-native won her way to the grand prize with her weekly performances of retro rock music.
During the Blind Auditions, the 23-year-old psychedelic rocker from Nashville, Tennessee, wowed the coaches with her performance of Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain", which earned her chair turns from coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson and Shelton.
On top of being crowned the season's ultimate victor, Kohanski landed a record deal with Universal Music Group and the $100,000 prize. This is the country crooner's sixth win on The Voice.
In 2013, Cyrus reached the top of the Hot 100 for the first time in her career with this second single from her fourth studio album "Bangerz".
Kohanski has been a big contender to win in The VoiceSeason 13 because of her take on classic '80s and '90s rock music. For the past few weeks, Kohanski captured the audience's hearts with her attractive interpretations of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Call Me", but Kohanski sealed her fate at future superstardom with an epic cover of Kim Carnes' "Bette Davis Eyes".
Kohanski had a roller coaster of a journey throughout her time on The Voice. "You're a superstar, sis", Blake told Chloe, "and maybe you'll let me open for you one of these days". Likewise, ahead of The Voice Season 13 finals, Kohanski already hinted at her victory. Not in a cocky way, but in a very humbling way. Addison Agen, Brooke Simpson, Red Marlow and Chloe Kohanski performed with guests including Sia, Billy Idol, Norah Jones and Vince Gill, while waiting to see the eagerly awaited results.
"I also feel like if I wouldn't have won, I believe Blake when he says he does take care of his team", she added.
The star-studded finale also saw the performances of famous artists including Vince Gill, Jessie J, Sia, and The Voice 2016 victor Chris Blue.
