Two Dead After Shooting At Penn State Beaver

A woman who worked at a Penn State satellite campus apparently was shot dead by her estranged husband in a university parking lot on Wednesday, and the man then killed himself, police said.

It has been closed until further notice. Those messages refer to the situation as "contained". Please avoid Student Union Bldg and Food Services area. The school is located 25 miles north west of downtown Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania State Police tell the station the shooting is being investigated as a possible murder-suicide.

The shooting is thought to have been a murder/suicide situation.

According to police, her husband came there and after they fought, he shot her then himself by her vehicle in the parking lot, next to the cafeteria area where she worked. This was never an "active shooter" event. WPXI had earlier reported that the coroner had been called to the scene.

The woman was 49-year-old Leslie Kelly, of Ohioville, who worked in food services at Penn State Beaver.

WKBN is monitoring this story for the latest developments. The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that the first 911 calls came from the school at 3:38 p.m. local time.
