Few Showers Today. Nice Weekend

01 December 2017, 06:41 | Kara Nash

Sunny, cool Thursday for Peninsula

Mild temperatures, some rain expected for central Pa. on Thursday

Clouds will be on the increase this afternoon ahead of the next cold front. Lows wont be quite as icy and should likely drop into the 30s.

Rain showers will continue overnight. No more 60s - highs will end up near 50 degrees (close to seasonal normals).

I have been promising that Wednesday will be the warmest day of the week, and it looks like Mother Nature will delivery. Once the surface front moves more to the southeast, northwest winds will be increasing later tonight into Thursday with 15 to 25 miles per hour winds likely Thursday afternoon. It'll be a dry weekend with mainly sunny skies. These clouds will filter the sunshine with a few isolated sprinkles possible across northern and western New Mexico. There is a 20% chance of rain on Sunday, however.

Mild temperatures, some rain expected for central Pa. on Thursday

A few showers return on Thursday.

It's a much colder start this morning! At this point, we expect only scattered showers with the highest chance in the mountains. A rogue shower can not be ruled out during the day. There are still some major timing and strength differences this far out, but models are nearly in complete agreement that we will see a cold front work through Tuesday with leftover showers for Wednesday.

Thursday: Sunshine followed by evening clouds. Then overnight, temperatures will fall to the mid 40s. Temperatures will also be much cooler. With light winds this afternoon and abundant sunshine, temperatures will reach back into the lower to mid-40s and feel fairly comfortable for the final day of November.
