Butler beats host school in tourney

Barrett also lamented how many people MI had allowed around the Buckeyes' bench before the game, including the person who made contact with him. He apparently hurt himself before the game even started, however, according to Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer.

The Ohio State quarterback exited the Buckeyes' game against rival MI on Saturday during the third quarter because of his knee. Haskins was 6-for7 for 94 yards, Dobbins finished with 101 yards and a touchdown for the Buckeyes.

O'Korn overthrew three open receivers in the first quarter, but he did connect with tight end Zach Gentry for a 27-yard gain on the Wolverines' first touchdown drive. The Wolverines jumped out to a 14-0 lead and led 20-14 in the third quarter, but they were unable to close it out once again.

Red-shirt freshman Dwayne Haskins Jr. led the Buckeyes right down the field to give Ohio State the lead and the eventual win, 31-20.

Barrett broke his leg in a victory over MI in 2014.

Meyer was unsure of Barrett's status heading into the Big Ten title game against Wisconsin next weekend. It's now unknown whether or not Barrett will be healthy enough to play.

Three takeaways from The Game: Is 2014 redux on horizon for Ohio State?

MI quarterback John O'Korn completed 17 of 32 passes for 195 yards with a touchdown and an interception.

Haskins led Ohio State down the field after Barrett's injury, setting up Dobbins' 1-yard touchdown run with a 22-yard scamper. A 13-play, 77-yard drive gave the Wolverines a 7-0 lead at the 6:02 mark of the first quarter. MI rushed the ball 36 times for 100 yards.

Key play: Two interceptions.

Ohio State successfully possessed the ball, running for 84 yards in the fourth quarter.

Still, Michigan had its chances, and a loss to Ohio State is a loss to Ohio State.
