Beau Willimon the creator of “House of Cards,” says he was unaware of Kevin Spacey’s alleged behavior
Netflix has suspended filming of the sixth season, saying the series will end after this season.
Rapp opened the floodgates by saying that Spacey made a "sexual advance" when he was 14-years-old, 31 years ago at his NY apartment.
One of the accusers said the actor plied him with alcohol and asked him to watch homosexual pornography with him when he was 16-years-old. One such person included actor and filmmaker Tony Montana, who told Radar Online that Spacey once groped him, grabbing his "whole package" while at a Los Angeles bar; Spacey then followed him into a restroom.
The first of several sexual assault and harassment allegations against House of Cards star Kevin Spaceybroke on Sunday when Star Trek: Discovery actor Anthony Rapp alleged that Spacey made an inappropriate sexual advance toward him when he was 14 and Spacey was 26.
Spacey posted on Twitter that he didn't remember the Rapp encounter.
The production assistant alleges he was driving Spacey to the set inside an Abingdon warehouse when Spacey put his hand between his legs.
British police confirmed Friday that they had opened an investigation into an allegation of sexual assault from a man in 2008, although officers never identify the subject of an inquiry unless and until they are charged.
Mexican actor Roberto Cavazos wrote on his Facebook page that he encountered Spacey at the bar of London's Old Vic Theatre, where Spacey was artistic director from 2004-15, and the actor tried to fondle him against his will.
Spacey, who has been dumped by his publicist and agents at CAA, is seeking "evaluation and treatment" in the wake of the sexual abuse allegations against him. The Sun newspaper said the new allegation comes from a man who was in his early 20s at the time. Netflix and Media Rights Capital, who produce the show, have also been looking at options for spinoffs, one likely scenario involving a spinoff focusing on Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly).
"Netflix will not be involved with any further production of House of Cards that includes Kevin Spacey". In another blow to Spacey's wallet, a Dutch business forum canceled his headline appearance at their conference November 29 in Rotterdam.
