George HW Bush Called Trump A "Blowhard" & Confirmed He Voted For Hillary Clinton

Both Bush presidents bash 'blowhard' Donald Trump as unfit for the presidency

"And I'm not too excited about him being (our) leader".

Neither of the former presidents voted for Trump in the election, and it was revealed that George H.W. Bush voted for Hillary Clinton in the general election.

The book earned its title from comments George W. Bush made during the last 2016, when he said he fears that he will be the last GOP president.

His son, George W. Bush is quoted in the tome saying of Trump that, "This guy doesn't know what it means to be President".

"Updegrove reveals for the first time their influences and perspectives on each other's presidencies; their views on family, public service, and America's role in the world; and their unvarnished thoughts on Donald Trump, and the radical transformation of the Republican Party he now leads".

And both worry that Trump has blown up a Republican Party that they spent two lifetimes building, a party that was once committed to removing boundaries to trade and immigration, promoting democracy and civil society and asserting a robust US leadership role in the world.

1 dead, 2 hurt in shooting at Chicago Starbucks
A 12-year-old boy was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound following a shooting took place at 8.10pm (1.10am GMT) local time. Buslik said police believe the wounded boy and man knew the dead man but did not elaborate on their relationship.

As could be expected, the White House didn't stay quiet as the New York Times and CNN revealed details included in The Last Republicans, a book that is scheduled to be released on November 14.

In the book, Mr Updegrove writes that the younger Bush did not think Mr Trump would win when he first entered the presidential race.

Once the bombastic billionaire real estate magnate secured the Republican nomination, Bush expressed surprise and anxious about Trump's lack of humility, and thus his inability to recognize his own limitations and surround himself with more knowledgeable people. When Trump stated that "I'm my own adviser", Bush concluded that he just did not understand the presidency.

The two men have a combined 20 years experience in the White House. "But if you look at his values and those shared by his father and Ronald Reagan, they are very much in contrast to the values of the Republican Party today, in particular the platform that Donald Trump ran on, which is essentially protectionism and a certain xenophobia". "I do think he was different", she said.

"The Last Republicans", published by HarperCollins, will be out November 14. "George Bush grew up thinking about the greater good. Remember that", Trump told his primary opponent, former Florida governor Jeb Bush. George W. Bush told Updegrove he left the top of the ballot blank.
