Broncos Considering Starting Paxton Lynch Over Trevor Siemian

Vance Joseph won't commit to Trevor Siemian after worst outing of the season

Report: Broncos Considering Starting Paxton Lynch Over Trevor Siemian

The team finds itself without a clear answer at quarterback following another Trevor Siemian debacle Monday night, when he threw three interceptions in a 29-19 loss to the Chiefs.

Joseph complained that Siemian made "three horrific decisions" on "three disgusting interceptions" in the Broncos' 29-19 loss at Kansas City on Monday night, wasting another dominant defensive effort and negating any gains made by the offense.

"Well I am going to watch the film [Tuesday]", Broncos coach Vance Joseph said after the loss. Our offensive line blocked (well) and we ran the ball for 177 (yards) and the pass pro was better, but it all falls back to turning the ball over five times. "It all fell back to turning the ball over five times, that's insane".

Currently, veteran Brock Osweiler and 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch sit behind Siemian.

Mauricio Pochettino: 'Jose Mourinho fallout in the past'
He needs two, three, four, five or six matches in a row to play, to make mistakes, to get condition, to get match fitness and I can not give him that.

Osweiler was signed by the Broncos just before the season after Lynch suffered a right (throwing) shoulder injury in a preseason win over the Green Bay Packers. But in the 1-4 stretch to follow, the third-year quarterback has thrown just three touchdowns against eight interceptions - including a career-high three against the Chiefs - and he also lost a costly fumble against the Chargers in a 21-0 loss October 22. "That's why it's my job to find an option where we will go win football games". The Broncos are now ranked No. 19, a big drop from their No. 4 ranking earlier this season. When it was over, Siemian completed just 53 percent of his attempts while tossing three interceptions and just one touchdown. "Obviously Paxton is still healing up", stated Joseph.

"That's not my job, my job is to play quarterback and play the best I can, " Siemian said when asked if he was anxious Joseph would make a change. "But losing three games in a row and having five turnovers tonight, anything's possible. But right now we're giving games away and all four losses look the same".

Siemian has struggled in the last five weeks. "And Mike every day voices that he can help Trevor more", Joseph said.

"That's his job as the quarterback".
