Apple Removes App Store From iTunes
Apple has cut some of the clutter from its iTunes software by removing the ability to buy and transfer iOS apps from the program. Considering most people probably do all their app management in the App Store on their devices anyway, we can't imagine this making much of a difference in people's lives, other than giving you one less reason to download iTunes. Apple now expects users to redownload purchased apps through the App Store and use iOS 11's settings to reinstall ringtones, which presumes the apps and ringtones you want are still available on the App Store.
According to Apple's iTunes support page, the changes are due to a renewed focus on managing music, movies, digital books, and podcasts directly from iOS devices, brought in by a new App Store ahead of the release of iOS 11. Internet Radio has become part of Music, the ringtones section has vanished entirely, and iTunes U can now be found in Podcasts.
Apple has launched the new version of iTunes (12.7) for both Windows and macOS.
On your Mac, launch the App Store app in your Applications folder.
OS 11 will download onto your device, and once it's ready, you can start the install process. Once the registration is complete, open the beta website with Safari browser on your iPhone or iPad and follow the directions. Next, users will have to click on the Update button on the top of the window.
The new App Store for iOS 11 will have a new Today tab which will have original stories from Apple's editors from around the world talking about the newest and latests apps. After that, download a profile to your iOS device and restart it.
Apple has taken the wraps off the latest version of its iOS mobile operating system, iOS 11.
iTunes's increasingly cluttered interface is partially a symptom of becoming the single app for storing your music library and syncing apps to your phone.
