BREAKING: Oxford University murder suspect arrrested in the US

Police: Professor and British man wanted in murder detained

Northwestern University associate professor Wyndham Lathem, 42, and Oxford University employee Andrew Warren, 56, are suspects connected to the death of 26-year-old Trenton Cornell-Duranleau.

Police said Lathem had a personal relationship with Cornell-Duranleau, who moved to Chicago from the Grand Rapids, Michigan, area after receiving his cosmetology license.

Warren surrendered to police in San Francisco; Lathem turned himself in to authorities in Oakland, Calfiornia.

On a university web page that has since been deleted, Mr Warren was listed as a senior treasury assistant at Oxford's Somerville College.

Around 10 p.m. Friday evening, Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted that Chicago police "has gotten word that Prof".

A manhunt had been underway since July 27 when the body of Trenton Cornell-Duranleau was discovered inside Latham's Chicago apartment says the Tribune.

Both men - taken into custody without incident - will appear before an Oakland court and are now awaiting extradition to IL, where they will be questioned by Chicago homicide detectives. Arrest warrants for Warren and Lathem were issued Monday.

Mueller is said to use Washington grand jury in Russian Federation probe
US President Trump has poured refuted on any suggestion his team colluded with the Kremlin to beat Hillary Clinton . It was introduced by Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of SC and Senator Cory Booker, a New Jersey Democrat.

"They knew the seriousness of the charges, the seriousness of the case and how important it was that he be brought into custody, not have to live a life on the run", Conroy said.

Warren arrived in the United States three days before Cornell-Duranleau's death and was seen in surveillance video leaving the building with Lathem the day of the stabbing. Both Lathem and Warren are being held on no bond status.

Warren and Lathem are accused of repeatedly stabbing the victim in the apartment before fleeing.

Authorities have so far provided little information about what may have prompted the killing. That same day, police in Lake Geneva said the suspects walked into the public library in town and donated $1,000 in the victim's name.

Guglielmi said investigators don't know exactly why the suspects picked the library in Lake Geneva, about 85 miles northwest of Chicago, to make the donation - neither the victim nor the suspects had any known connection to the library.

They were alerted to the murder by an employee at the front desk, who received an anonymous tip about a crime committed in Lathem's residence in the upscale River North neighborhood.
