Kanye West quits Jay-Z's Tidal after spat over money

Jay-Z relaunched Tidal in 2015 with a roster of other A-list artists as an artist-backed alternative to Pandora or Spotify.

"But this "f**k everybody" attitude ain't natural/But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe (sic)/But you got hurt because you think KumbaYe/You gave him 20 million without thinking/He gave you 20 minutes on stage, f**k was he thinking?"

The star's lawyers are said to have issued a letter stating Tidal is in breach of contract and informed them West, 40, is terminating the deal.

The rapper and fashion designer is reportedly splitting with Jay's Tidal streaming service and insists that they him owe $3 million.

Despite the boost in profile for the company that Kanye drove, long story short, he ain't get no money. Translation - Kanye wants nothing to do with Tidal anymore, and wants money for what he's already done!

Amy Childs' family connection to new Love Island star
Jonny is a really nice guy and on paper they really match up, but I think he wanted a bit more excitement when he was in there. I told him to go for it in the first place, no disrespect to Camilla, I said he should give her a shot.

As he explained in a video review that looked like something your stoner dad would send you, "I don't got Tidal, so a n-- had to bootleg it to me". According to TMZ, Tidal claims that it hadn't received the music videos from Kanye, which is why it didn't pay him. Tidal gave those consumers free streaming access until a download became available some months afterward.

West, however, suggested they were on uneven terms last November when he ranted during a concert in Sacramento that JAY-Z had lost touch with him.

Kanye deleted a bunch of tweets about Tidal when it began haemorrhaging subscribers in its first few weeks and released his Pablo album on its rivals, after vowing to permanently have it exclusively on Jay Z's service alone. But Tidal is also in the news because fellow rapper Kanye West is reportedly leaving Tidal.

Neither Tidal nor West has spoken publicly about the contract termination.

Jay's new album contains the lyrics, "I know people backstab you I felt bad too".
