Sixers' Markelle Fultz: 'It was good to get back out there'

Sixers GM Bryan Colangelo also said that he expected the Sixers to utilize one-year deals this free agency period in order to free up future cap space, which will leave money for a possible extension of Covington's contract.

The Philadelphia 76ers have struck early in National Basketball Association free agency, signing former Clippers guard J.J. Redick to a one-year deal worth a whopping $23 million.

This report comes after L.A. Clippers beat reporter Brad Turner revealed that Redick is also eyeing the Houston Rockets, where he could potentially reunite with former teammate, Chris Paul.

Redick appeared to confirm the signing by tweeting the 76ers' slogan "Trust the Process" shortly after 4 p.m.

United States woman shoots boyfriend to death in social media stunt gone wrong
In a tragic incident, a teen shot her boyfriend during a YouTube stunt as they "wanted to increase their followers". Perez had started the vlog earlier this year, and had uploaded many videos including pranks with herself and Ruiz.

Perhaps the biggest sign that the 76ers' tank is over is that a reputable free agent wants in. After building up a talented young core with the likes of Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and rookie Markelle Fultz, the Philadelphia 76ers have reportedly added a top-end free agent.

He's spent the last four seasons with the Clippers, averaging 15.8 points and 2.5 made 3-pointers per game.

Redick has been to the playoffs every year in the league.

Redick, 33, was ranked No. 25 on the list of top available free agents this offseason compiled by ESPN's Kevin Pelton.
