GETTY Michael Keane is expected to move to Everton

Jagielka turns 35 this summer and, while still performing at a high-level last season, isn't likely to be with the club for many more years.

Talks are still ongoing between the two sides, but the Toffees hope to have a deal wrapped up before the club's players report back for pre-season training next Monday (3rd July).

United were at one stage interested in re-signing Keane, who was sold to the Clarets for £2m in 2015.

Manchester United were reportedly toying with the idea of re-signing Michael Keane.

Keane was called into the England squad for the first time last October and made his senior worldwide debut earlier this year in a friendly defeat to Germany.

'Pharma Bro' defies advice to keep quiet before fraud trial
They didn't hold their tongues, calling Shkreli a "snake", the "most hated man in America" and "the face of corporate greed". Matsumoto seemed delighted when she finally came across a woman in her 20s who said she hadn't heard of Shkreli or his case.

The Toffees have already broken their transfer record to sign £30m goalkeeper Jordan Pickford from Sunderland, while Dutch worldwide Davy Klaassen has arrived in a £24m deal from Ajax.

And while they have paid £7m on Eupen striker Henry Onyekuru, Belgium's top scorer last season, they have loaned him to Anderlecht for a season.

The arrival of Victor Lindelof seemed to end Keane's chances of a return to Manchester United, the club that sold him to Burnley for just £2m two-and-a-half years ago, and Moralee thinks the Everton-bound England worldwide will become the best defender in Europe within the next two years.

Keane's expected arrival will not be the end of Everton's big spending, with manager Koeman determined to test Swansea City's resolve to keep 27-year-old Iceland midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson.
