Time magazine hanging in Trump golf clubs is fake

28 June 2017, 05:20 | Cassandra Thompson

President Trump has a framed TIME Magazine cover of himself decorating at least 4 of his golf clubs — there's just

For club members lunching or golfers golfing, the cover screams Trump's importance, even when he was just a billionaire reality TV star.

Dated March 1, 2009, the cover photo features a stern-looking Trump looking like he is either trying to squeeze out a very girthy turd or struggling to contain his vagina-grabbing urges from exploding to the surface. Note the differences: The fake cover has a thinner red border, with no white inner border.

A little investigating, and a Washington Post contact with Time Magazine has confirmed that the cover is a fake, never existed, and likely is something Time could sue the President over if they wished to do so. So it's best to just move on to the next part of the news which is that Time Magazine has asked him to remove the fabricated cover he displays proudly on his walls.

President Donald Trump has made it known that he's well aware of his various TIME magazine covers. In the sort of sloppy incompetence we've come to expect from Trump's administration, even this fake cover gets all the basics wrong, including the magazine's typeface, borders, and cover line placements.

Also, it's a Time cover about how "The Apprentice is a television smash!" backed up by the assertion that "TRUMP IS HITTING ON ALL FRONTS ..."

Gerry Connolly, who is a democrat from Virginia's 11th congressional district, ridiculed the cover online. His current count stands at 14, according to a cover gallery.

New Buddy & Darling featurette released for Edgar Wright's Baby Driver
It was really just that thing of amping up the stakes and showing the moral consequences and showing the human collateral of it. The punchline is that star Ansel Elgort was born in 1994, a good six months before that opening number was released in stores.

And another employee at the Turnberry club in Scotland, said the cover was inexplicably taken down a few weeks ago.

The fake cover also went missing from Trump's Ireland resort, but a bartender found it in a manager's office.

In another tweet, he wrote: 'So they caught Fake News CNN cold, but what about NBC, CBS & ABC? But would he really adorn the walls of several of his properties with a Time magazine cover feature about himself that is not real?

Trump's own comments in January at least hint at the fact that he views the press coverage as an honor.

In Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, the framed cover hangs opposite a framed cover of Newsweek with the president's mug on it and over what appears to be a framed page from Variety. "I have six for politics and I have two for real estate or whatever they put me on for". He has been at the Post since 2000, and previously covered Congress, the federal bureaucracy, the environment, and the D.C. police.
