The Latest On Potential Blockbuster Trade Between Cavs-Nuggets-Pacers

Trade Rumors: Butler and George Are Up for Grabs
Just a few hours ago, several sports sites reported that the Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets discussed a deal that would send Paul George to the Cavaliers and Kevin Love to Denver.
The Pacers have never wanted Kevin Love, Cleveland's most expendable asset.
After he was drafted ninth overall by the Jazz in 2010, Hayward emerged as the franchise's newest superstar.
The latest trade talks between Cleveland and IN also included the Denver Nuggets, according to ESPN. The Jazz can sign Hayward to a maximum five-year deal worth $177.5 million, but he would get less from other teams. The Nuggets are reportedly willing to trade Wilson Chandler and Emmanuel Mudiay, as well, though a trade never came to fruition because Denver doesn't want to part with Jamal Murray, whom IN attempted to land.
Begin with the fact that dealing for a guy with one year left on his contract and who has said through his agent that he will leave the Pacers as a free agent after the 2017-18 season - with all signs pointing to him joining his semi-hometown Lakers - is, at best, a gamble. Hayward is one of them but the team is also said to be interested in Blake Griffin, who recently opted out of his contract with the LA Clippers to become a free agent. Well, maybe not. Whether he's traded as a rental, or he stays for the season in IN, here is what COULD happen if LA doesn't make a move on Paul George quickly.

The Cavaliers reportedly were in talks with the Bulls for Jimmy Butler before Chicago dealt the All-Star guard to Minnesota on a draft-day trade.
Ainge may have confidence in Jackson's ability to develop into a shooter, but as a coach from another team put it, there's a significant risk involved.
According to Haynes who added additional commentary on SportsCenter, this deal would be the "worst case scenario" for the Los Angeles Lakers as George would be immersed in the Cavaliers' winning environment as opposed to a rebuilding situation out west.
In one version of the potential three-team swap, Faried would be Cleveland-bound, league sources told ESPN.
It may be easier said than done, but with the 21-year-old willing to take on more responsibility, it also proves that the Pacers' front office was right in choosing him in the draft. "I'm trying to see if we can make something happen". It would make sense for the Cavaliers to try to shield Love from the trade talks, especially if no trade ends up happening.
