Sources GOP Shooter Had List of House Republicans Names

A list with several names of Congress members written on it was reportedly found with the man suspected of opening fire at a GOP baseball practice on Wednesday, according to several reports.

Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and four others were injured in the shooting before U.S. Capitol Police fatally shot Hodgkinson.

Hodgkinson, a Belleville, Ill., resident who officials said had been living out of his auto in Alexandria, Va., opened fire as Congress members and staffers practiced for a charity baseball game slated for Thursday.

Franks was on the list but not on the baseball team.

Deputy AG: No Plans to Fire Special Counsel Robert Mueller
The revelation came after Ruddy was at the White House on Monday for a meeting with Chief Strategist Steve Bannon. Donald Trump believes that he can make the investigation go away if he fires Mueller .

The FBI's Washington field office, which is handling the investigation, provided no comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

A USA official told CBS News that James Hodgkinson, the Alexandria shooter, had a list of names including GOP Reps. Perhaps he also failed to recognize Congressman Brooks, but as Rep. Palmer said on Yellowhammer Radio yesterday, it's evident that God spared their lives.

Duncan said he spoke with Hodgkinson briefly before the shooting, when the would-be assassin asked him in the parking lot if the players on the field were Republicans or Democrats. It is not clear whether the gunman specifically targeted them in the attack. Duncan said he told him it was a Republican ball practice, and Hodgkinson started to shoot them. He told her he was going to Washington DC to "change the tax brackets" and "work on taxes", she said.

He remained in critical condition on Thursday, CBS News reported. Bernie Sanders' campaign, Hodgkinson's social media profile was filled with violent-sounding rhetoric against the Republican Party.
