Roma sits just behind Juventus, but ultimately the dominant side managed to clinch with their decisive win over Crotone (who, with their loss, are only still out of danger due to the loss of the 17th-ranked program just ahead of them earlier in the day). Juventus keeps on breaking records.

Juventus FC on Sunday became the first club in Italy to clinch six consecutive Serie A football title after defeating Crotone 3-0 here.

Crotone had won five and drawn two of its last seven games as it made a late bid to escape the drop but was facing a Juventus side which has dropped only two points at home all season.

"A Final is not a game you play, it is one you win".

Juventus was winning matches in the first half of the season but didn't appear to be the unstoppable force it had been in previous years.

On course to make himself a Juventus hero in the longterm, the Argentine already has 41 goals in 92 matches, and has been key to getting to the Champions League final this term.

Even though Roma closed to within a point of Massimiliano Allegri's leaders with victory at Chievo on Saturday night, success in this penultimate fixture of the season saw Juve retain the Scudetto.

Woakes hopes to carry IPL form into Champions Trophy bid
I, as a cricketer, lover of the game think that West Indies should be there all the time, but again, I don't write the rules. I think of England. "The challenge for both Tim and Mitch is bowling 5-6 over spells that they most likely will in England".

"The formation doesn't count as much as the attitude with which you play", said Allegri.

"Crotone have put together 17 points in their last seven games, I think 10 points from four away fixtures, they have conceded very few goals and are extremely unsafe on the counter-attack".

Napoli are a further point behind in third, the Champions League playoff spot. They have scored fewer goals than Napoli and Roma but once again they conceded less than all their Serie A rivals.

This year has seen Juventus begin to break away from their traditional back three, and Allegri has just as frequently opted for a four-man back line.

Possibly the best striker for Juve in this period, 39 goals in 66 games were the return for two successful seasons between 2013-15.

That was not all, though, as Juventus also secured the services of experienced defenders such as Dani Alves and Medhi Benatia, with Juan Cuadrado returning from Chelsea and promising youngster Marko Pjaca finding his way to Turin, too. This will also be their record 33rd league title.
