Cosby says racism could be tied to sexual assault allegations

Charlamagne Tha God Shares Exclusive Statement From Bill Cosby's Daughters

For the first time in two years Bill Cosby gave his side of the story and spoke with Michael Smerconish on the SiriusXM POTUS channel about the "nefarious" motivations behind the almost 60 sexual assault allegations leveled against him.

This is the first time Cosby has faced criminal charges, although more than 50 women have come forward in recent years.

On Monday, the former Cosby Show star's daughter, Ensa Cosby, said on The Breakfast Club that her father was unfairly targeted because of "racism," and he quickly spoke out to agree with her, in his first interview in almost two years.

He sits down with Sirius XM host Michael Smerconish for an in-depth interview which airs Tuesday, May 16, 2017. "It's really not fair and you know that because all I have to do is say something similar to that and next thing I know the postman is carrying a big bag.defamation, defamation, defamation".

'So many different - nefarious is a great word.

"Things were rescinded and I'd like to get those things back, because the people who chose to make the decision then saw they made a mistake", he said.

"I think that you can examine individuals and situations and they will come out differently", he said.

'So it's not all, not every, but I do think that there's some'.

New Divorce Law Can Replace Triple Talaq, Center Tells Supreme Court
When the bench sought a clarification, the AG said, "If all three forms of talaq are struck down, then we will not leave a vacuum".

Steinem said she finds Cosby's accusers "credible - as individuals and in their numbers".

"The piling on, so to speak is a way - and certainly, an impressive, impressive way to get public opinion to come to the other side", Cosby replied.

Jury selection is scheduled to begin Monday in a Pennsylvania courtroom ahead of Cosby's June 5 trial on charges that he drugged and sexually assaulted Andrea Constand, a former basketball coach at his alma mater Temple University, in 2004.

It's been almost three years since comedian Hannibal Burress made the world look at Bill Cosby's alleged sexual misconduct, and since then the 79 year-old has remained relatively quiet, not giving interviews to the press about the allegations.

Vulture explained that they plan on trying to convince the jury that Cosby is a victim of the media. Asked to respond, Bill Cosby said, "It could be". And what people want to say and want you to say and how they maneuver, and, yes, I do have lawyers protect me-objection; sustained. In many of these cases, Cosby can not stand trial because the statute of limitations has passed. He also gave an interview for a Black Press USA article last month.

Smerconish said he was provided audio of a conversation between Cosby and his daughter Enda, in which she asked her father about his past but also asked him what he hoped to be remembered for. Her sister said: "I believe that racism has played a big role in all aspects of this scandal".

Two of Cosby's daughters recently released taped statements defending their father.
